Household electricity consumers in 272 villages near wind farms around the country will have 13.3 million euros credited to the accounts of their electricity bills following a joint ministerial decision signed and published in the Government Gazette in connection with legislation on renewable energy sources (RES). The amount is from the period from 2010 until the end of 2013 and corresponds to 1% over the pre-VAT sale price of electricity generated from RES. Households that use over 3,000 kW per quarter are not eligible for the return.
