Specifically, the company received the ‘Gold Award’ in the category “Contribution to Local and Social Development”, as the only cruise company based in Greece that provides crucial support to the local communities. Every day for six months, four of the company ships are calling at Greek ports, bringing a boost to local economies with 454,318 passengers served in 2013. The company also received the ‘Bronze Award’ for its integrated communication campaign that promotes Greek destinations to 17 countries throughout the year, based on the results of surveys it conducts on a regular basis. Finally, Luis Cruises received another ‘Bronze Award’ for the rich Greek culinary experience being offered in its cruisers.
“We are very excited about these awards and we want to thank especially the organizers for the initiative and also the judges for the recognition and ‘vote of confidence’ in Louis Cruises. All three awards are important and are a great honor for us, as they demonstrate the multidimensional contribution of our company to the sustainable local development, to the promotion of our country as a cruise destination around the world and finally to the promotion of Greek hospitality and authentic culinary experience through the unique flavors of our traditional cuisine” said Mr. Kyriakos Anastasiadis, CEO of Louis Cruises.
