With action scenes in “Mission: Impossible” pushing new limits each time, Tom Cruise revealed the secret behind his energy and stamina: a huge English breakfast. The 62-year-old actor stated that he consumes nearly 12 eggs, sausages, bacon, bread, and large amounts of coffee and liquids daily to keep up with the demands of filming — such as wing-walking at high altitude. At the same time, Cruise is making headlines again after being seen with Ana de Armas at David Beckham’s birthday party in London.
“I really eat a huge breakfast,” Cruise revealed to the Mirror newspaper. “The energy needed — I train hard for the stunts with wing-walking. I eat, for example, sausages, nearly a dozen eggs, bacon, bread, coffee, and plenty of fluids. Yes, I eat! Imagine: it’s cold up there, we’re at high altitude. My body burns a lot of energy.”
Cruise follows in the footsteps of other stars who have consumed large quantities of eggs for physically demanding roles — including Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, who has admitted to systematically eating a dozen eggs while filming Father Stu.
This past weekend, the actor was again spotted in the capital, celebrating the 50th birthday of David Beckham with a glamorous dinner at the Core restaurant in Notting Hill. Cruise initially appeared alone but was later photographed leaving with Ana de Armas, who was seated in the back of the same car, hidden behind security team umbrellas.
