As an act of redemption, the 50-year-old described the murder of his own mother in Chaidari.

The 50-year-old confessed perpetrator reportedly told the police that his elderly mother was dealing with health problems and had dementia, and that by killing her, he was freeing her.

It is also noted that the perpetrator called the police at 09:30 and confessed that he had murdered his 84-year-old mother inside their apartment on Sokratou Street.

A 50-year-old man called the Hellenic Police (ELAS) around 9:30 AM and confessed to killing his mother.

According to initial reports, the woman was found in her bed with stab wounds to her neck, and the police also discovered the murder weapon.

Emergency medical services (EKAV) are on the scene, and the 50-year-old has been arrested. The motive behind the woman’s murder remains unclear.
