Once the document is ready, it will be delivered to Ukraine - Putin had told Donald Trump that Moscow is ready to cooperate on a memorandum on a future peace agreement

Newsroom May 27 02:20

Russia continues to work on a draft memorandum setting out the principles of a future peace agreement that would end the war in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, following a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this month, said Moscow is ready to work with Ukraine on a memorandum of understanding for a future peace deal.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said work on the Russian draft is continuing and once the document is ready it will be delivered to Ukraine.
