SYRIZA increases the pressure on the government and attempts to combine the challenge of government with the presentation of its program framework so as to enhance the feeling that it is has an alternative option regarding the governance of Greece. At the same time it begins to suggest more open political alliances in a governmental perspective.
Alexis Tsipras speaking at the annual conference of Hellenic Federation of Enterprises insisted on indicating that Samaras’s government has no longer the moral and political legitimacy to take decisions and bind the country and future generations.
The president of SYRIZA insisted on setting up a “government of social salvation with SYRIZA the main body,” which “will reunite all forces in order to lead the country to the safe ground of growth, democracy and social justice,”. Thus, leaves open the possibility of taking soon initiatives for new alliances of his party, in view of rapid political developments.
Mr Tsipras also presented his party’s commitments that target the reconstruction and development of the country and includes re-establishment of the minimum wage at 751 euros, revenue redistribution in favor of weak social groups, adjustment of the “red loans”, re-establishment of collective agreements, transparent and fair framework for business tax liabilities, reduction of energy costs for businesses by sectors, targeted funding policies for business from a development public sector of special purpose, claiming a “European new deal” or a separate European business financing for Greece.
Today the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA will hold a meeting, the first after the elections, in order to assess the effect of the elections and set their future strategy.
