Self-styled anti-state rioters caused serious damage to storefronts and cars on the sidelines of a rally by a far-left anti-capitalist grouping — the tiny out-of-Parliament Antarsya — in downtown Athens to protest a more recent extension agreement with EU creditors.
The mostly masked youth hurled firebombs at police, caused considerable damage to a couple of jewelry stores in the area, while burning four vehicles and shattering store windows.
