Katia Rybolovleva: The new Jackie of Skorpios island

The daughter of Russian tycoon poses for “Paris Match” imitating the famous American (even wearing accessories that reminds of her style)

Newsroom June 3 08:27

The daughter of the Russian tycoon Dmitry Rybolovlev chose once again to speak in the international journal “Paris Match”- as she did a few months ago when she and her father were interviewed at their home in Monaco- but also to get photographed at the legendary island of Aristotle Onassis. The new Jackie from Russia talks about her own Skorpios, reveals how she came to an agreement with Athena Onassis to sell the island and the changes she intends to make on the island. Knowing very well the myth of the Greek tycoon and his life with Jackie, Katia Rybolovleva does not hesitate to get photographed posing as the wife of Aristos Onassis did.

The stunning blonde girl wears white shorts, revealing her long and slim legs, and a blue T-shirt, a hair scarf and big sunglasses.

The photos are shot on the beach were Jackie used to swim and paparazzi had captured her naked. The yacht “My Anna” was chosen as a background, reminding of Jackie who was photographed in front of Onassis’s yacht “Christina”.

The daughter of the Russian tycoon, who will celebrate her 25th birthday on Scorpios island having a party for 100 guests from around the world, reveals during the interview how she learned about Scorpios and her relation with Athena Onassis.

“Several years ago my family and I spent our holidays in Greece with our yacht. We made a tour at Ionian sea and went around Skorpios island. We were amazed by its beauty and when I went back from holidays I searched to find out who is the owner. My passion for horses and races led me to meet Athena Onassis during some races. I had learned that she was the heir of the island of her grandfather Aristotle Onassis. So, one day I told her that if she ever wanted to sell it, she could just let me know,”.

Katia Rybolovleva wishes to maintain the natural beauty of the island. Therefore, she will not build any palaces nor any other buildings, as many Greeks worry, “Paris Match” mentioned. What she will do is to renovate the existing buildings.

Her only plan is to build a mini soccer field for her father and a stall for her, since she loves horses.

Rybolovlev’s daughter stresses that breathing new life into Skorpios will contribute to economic growth of Greece which suffers from the crisis. “The Onassis family had great influence in this area. At its peak of glory, during ’60s and ’70s, up to 200 local workers were working on a daily basis on Skorpios,” she said in her interview.

Jackie has just arrived at Scorpios by the famous yacht “Christina”

“For my birthday, I asked my friends not to bring me any gifts but donate money to my foundation to assist local charity works. For example, in Lefkada we will buy a car for transporting children with special needs and will contribute to building schools, playgrounds and sports facilities for young people. Education is the most important part of the future,” Katia Rybolovleva stressed.
