Thousands of Cypriots protested outside Nicosia’s congress center on Wednesday against an ECB board meeting inside, chaired by ECB President Mario Draghi.

The rally was organized by unions and civil organizations. No incidents were reported during the peaceful protest.

Along those lines, a handful of party leaders declined to attend a reception hosted by the Cypriot President in honor of Draghi and 18 central bankers of the Eurozone countries.

Draghi will meet with the Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades to discuss issues relating to Cyprus and the wider eurozone.
