The weather is improving with warming temperatures as the barometric lows that have affected the country, bringing the bad weather of the past few days, are moving away.
According to the meteorologist, Marousakis, the main feature of the weather in the coming days will be the strengthening of the north winds in the Aegean Sea, but without rain. However, long-term forecast models indicate new bad weather from the middle of next week. The new bad weather will bring rain and a drop in temperature on Wednesday and Thursday, Open’s meteorologist warned.
For her part, meteorologist Olga Papavgouli said in a post that from the 14th of the month onwards, “the forecast data indicate the creation of a strong Z-bandit – an extended anticyclone in northwestern Europe – which may favor the descent of colder and more unstable air masses towards our country.”
“Breath of summer before the autumnal change…
The weather will show significant improvement until early next week, i.e., until about Monday, with long periods of sunshine and generally mild weather conditions being the main features.
Temperatures will rise gradually, near or slightly below normal for the season, around 22 to 24 degrees, and locally a little higher.
Particularly at the weekend in Attica, the thermometer will reach 24 to 25 degrees.
At the same time, the morning and evening chill will persist, especially in the continental mountainous and hilly areas.
However, from the 14th of the month onwards, forecast data point to the creation of a strong Z-band – an extended anticyclone in northwestern Europe – which may favour the descent of colder and more unstable air masses towards our country.
If this scenario is confirmed, it will lead to a change in the weather scenario, with significant rainfall and a drop in temperature, giving the weather an autumnal or even winter character.
This week is therefore a good opportunity for outdoor work and activities, before the new change we will be monitoring and seeing in detail, if confirmed by the next forecast data.”
