A man was shot dead in Potomac Avenue Subway station in Washington DC late at night.

According to a subway official, the man had no right to be where he was, and it is yet unknown on what he did when Police officers on the scene approached him. He was spotted in the subway lines rather than the station proper by a subway driver who notified authorities.
