A meeting with New Democracy MPs was held at Megaro Maximou at noon on Wednesday (17/12) by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as part of the annual, informal call before the holidays.
The meeting took place today, shortly before the prime minister’s departure for Brussels and the last summit of the year.
The invitation was not accompanied by an institutional agenda, but the climate within the parliamentary group of the New Democracy Party remains strained by the rural mobilizations, which have put pressure on several MPs – especially from rural districts.

The call was held in a relaxed mood, with wine and finger food.
It lasted about an hour, while, among other things, conveying the climate of concern about the agricultural blockades. The focus was also on the disruption caused by the withholding of contributions for ELGA without payments to farmers, a problem that was, however, solved within a few hours.
However, the meeting was not lacking in “family” photos, while Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ charm for 2026 that Nikitas Kaklamanis gave to the Prime Minister stood out.
“Till next year!” the prime minister reportedly told the MPs during their meeting.
