EU Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness Commissioner Jyrki Katainan is to meet with the country’s leadership and business officials to discuss Greece’s investments and the new EU investment plan. The series of meetings aiming to promote the new EU investment plan, which he will present at a special event at the French Institute of Athens on Sina Street.
On Thursday, Katainen is scheduled to meet with Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism Minister George Stathakis, Alternate Minister for Research and Innovation Costas Fotakis and the main opposition conservative New Democracy (ND) leader Antonis Samaras.
On Friday, Katainan will meet with EU Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos. A private meeting will also be held with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at noon on Friday. Katainan is also due to attend a working lunch with heads of Greek banks and will address the podium of Greek parliament.
Also on the agenda is an event hosted by the Greek Federation of Enterprizes that has been organized in collaboration with the European Commission’s delegation in Greece.
