Α Parliament plenary session included several flare ups between MPs from the ruling SYRIZA party and opposition deputies, with shouting, snide remarks and a near … fracas recorded.

Former PASOK Andreas Loverdos was loudly complaining about the previous statements of Interior Minister Nikos Voutsis, who blamed opposition parties of supporting lenders’ demands.

This resulted in a coterie of SYRIZA MPs standing up and move towards Loverdos in a threatening manner.

After 15 minutes of unrest,  Voutsis began talking again, reiterating his positions, criticising the opposition MPs and charging that “you may have a majority of the (establishment) mass media” on their side, but not the people. Applause by his fellow SYRIZA comrades then rang out in the assembly.

Voutsis, wrongly assuming that his microphone was turned off, leaned over to another minister and said: “I know how to bust them up, ya wa..ker”.
