China’s Henan Kuangshan Crane Co., Ltd. went viral on social media after its CEO decided to hand out 22 million in bonuses, with 7.3 million of it given at an event with a special condition that employees get as much money as they could carry with their hands.
The celebration at which the peculiar distribution took place on February 13. At it 800 tables were set up to accommodate about 7,000 people.
According to the South China Morning Post, the company, founded in September 2002, had a total profit of 33 million euros for 2025, meaning nearly 70% of that was shared among its 7,000 employees
It is a company that manufactures and offers crane services with a presence in more than 130 countries around the world.
As reported by the Chinese newspaper, in March 2025 the same company had distributed 195,000 euros as a bonus to 2,000 female employees on the occasion of Women’s Day
As a result of these practices, the company’s CEO has been described as “the boss who most loves to hand out money” with him responding that “it’s not that I like handing out money, but young people are burdened with car loans and mortgages and any relief we can offer helps.”
