The former head of the Hellenic National Meteorological Service notes that the cold and northerly winds will prevail throughout the weekend and, according to forecasts, the conditions will continue into Wednesday, March 25, with temperatures staying low and the weather maintaining clearly winter-like characteristics.
Meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias states that the cold spell will continue over the weekend, with temperatures remaining low. Today, Saturday, temperatures will rise slightly but will still not reach normal levels for the season. Forecast data indicate that the cold will persist into next week, with rain and snowfall continuing until the first week of April.
Giorgos Tsatrafyllias adds that for March 25, weather conditions will be clearly wintery, with low temperatures, strong winds, and local rain mainly in eastern and southern parts of the country. In mountainous areas, snowfall will continue, while other regions will face rain and ongoing cold.
In his post, the Alpha TV meteorologist also makes an estimate for Easter Sunday, noting that “we may even need to wear short sleeves after roasting the lamb!”
