Taxi drivers across Greece are holding a nationwide 24-hour strike today, Monday, March 23, coinciding with the vote on the Ministry of Transport’s bill.
Taxis operated normally over the weekend, as drivers temporarily suspended their strike for two days to serve the public. However, mobilizations intensify from today, against the backdrop of the bill by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport currently being debated and voted on in Parliament.
Taxi drivers have launched a new 24-hour strike starting at 6 a.m., while a gathering is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. at SATA offices, followed by a march to Parliament at 12 noon.

Trains also halted today due to Tempi
At the same time, a 24-hour railway strike has been declared for today, including Athens’ suburban railway, by the Panhellenic Federation of Railway Workers, coinciding with the first day of the trial for the Tempi tragedy.
According to an announcement by Hellenic Train, no routes will operate across the entire network today.
