“Your choice is to form a government of losers with Tsipras and Konstantopoulou,” Kostis Hatzidakis said in response to Nikos Androulakis from the Parliament, stressing that sometimes requests are accepted.

“These scenarios were also circulating in the 2023 elections and did not go very well,” Hatzidakis noted, adding: “You are calling for elections before Easter and you remind me of the lamb wishing for Easter to come.”

“Here we are. Sometimes requests are granted,” Kostis Hatzidakis said.

The response of Androulakis

The PASOK president responded that “not only will we not co-govern with Mitsotakis’ parastate, but we will tear it down. That is our difference. PASOK MPs and their leadership would never have accepted what you accept: corruption, impunity, and parastatal practices. That is why we will be the democratic party, and you will be the losers of the elections. Take the polls and go to Dillian to stop the blackmail. Take them to the honest judges of Greece.

PASOK president called for elections

Earlier, PASOK President Nikos Androulakis launched a fierce attack on the government from the floor of the parliament, speaking of “parastatalism” and accusing it of having “discredited, violated and debased institutions, regulations and parliament.”

Androulakis also turned his fire on the OPEKEPE, speaking of “a corruption scandal and political responsibilities of the government” and commented that the existence of persons only from the ND party in the European Public Prosecutor’s Office’s file shows that the scandal is not bipartisan, but of the government. At the same time, he commented that the Minister of Rural Development is “the man who will reform the OEKEPE”.

“You made Greece a European example. But to be avoided. With you, Greece is the only country where the European prosecutor’s office announces the reshuffle,” he said.

Androulakis called for elections at the end of his speech. “Elections to get it over with. Let the wind of change blow, respect for rights,” he stressed.

Intervening in the plenary session of the House of Representatives on a bill for a more citizen-friendly state, Androulakis directly accused the Mansion House and the prime minister of not holding the pre-agenda debate on the rule of law, which he had called for in early March.

Calling the government a “ruthless, closed and dangerous system” of the government, which functions as a parastate, he accused the government of

At the same time, he returned to the wiretapping case, recalling that he was the one who brought the case to light as early as 2022, appealing to both Greek and European justice, and accused the government of refusing to implement the decisions of the country’s Supreme Court.

“You have put national security at high risk. In which other country did the government allow the 4 heads of the armed forces to be trapped? What actions have you taken to protect the national security of the country?” he said.

He also took jabs at former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, saying he expected to hear more in his speech. “Will you do something? Which bank will you stand on? On the shore of parastatalism and impunity?” he asked.
