At least 8 dead and 95 injured due to the bombing of a bridge west of Tehran

At least eight people were killed and 95 injured following the bombing of a bridge on the highway connecting Tehran with the city of Karaj in western Iran, according to the deputy governor of Alborz province, as reported by the Fars news agency and state television.

U.S. President Donald Trump earlier shared a video on Truth Social showing the destruction of “the largest bridge in Iran” in a bombing, commenting that it is time for Tehran to reach an agreement “before it is too late.”

“It is time for Iran to make a deal before it is too late and nothing remains of what could still become a great country,” he said.

Trump “removed” the U.S. Army Chief of Staff

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth asked the U.S. Army Chief of Staff, General Randy George, to step down from his position and retire immediately, according to sources speaking to CBS News.

One source stated that Hegseth wants someone in the role who will implement the vision of President Donald Trump and himself for the Army.

A senior Defense Department official told CBS News: “We are grateful for his service, but it was time for a change in Army leadership.”

The IDF says they have killed over 1,000 Hezbollah members
The Israeli army states that it has killed around 1,000 Hezbollah members in Lebanon since hostilities escalated amid the war with Iran in early March.

According to the IDF, this includes hundreds of members of the elite “Radwan” force.

During Wednesday, April 1, Hezbollah launched about 130 rockets toward Israel. Most of the rockets were intercepted or landed in open areas, although some struck Israeli cities, lightly injuring several people and causing damage.

Hezbollah also launched hundreds more rockets against Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon.
