Interview poll: 12.2% difference between the first ND and the second PASOK, Karystianou in third place – 56% want early elections

Mitsotakis clearly first in suitability for prime minister - Citizens divided on changes to the electoral law

A clear lead for New Democracy over second-placed PASOK is recorded in a new Interview poll conducted for the website politic.gr, with the party of Maria Karystianou ranking in third place.

In the same survey, 56% of respondents believe the government should call early elections, while opinions on the electoral system are almost evenly split between a preference for a cross-voting system and a mixed list-and-cross system.

As for suitability for prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains the top choice among voters.

Specifically, when asked which party they would vote for if elections were held next Sunday, 25.7% chose New Democracy, followed by PASOK at 13.5%. The party of Maria Karystianou comes third with 7.9%, while Hellenic Solution and KKE are tied at 5.4%. They are followed by MeRA25 (3.4%), Plefsi Eleftherias (3.3%), SYRIZA (3.1%), Voice of Reason (2.9%), and the Democrats (2.8%).

In terms of suitability to govern, Kyriakos Mitsotakis again ranks first with 29.8%, followed by “no one” at 26.6%. Nikos Androulakis follows with 11.4%, Maria Karystianou with 6.4%, Zoe Konstantopoulou with 4.8%, and Kyriakos Velopoulos with 4.6%.

Meanwhile, 56% of respondents favor early elections, compared to 40% who prefer the government to complete its term, while 4% expressed no opinion.

Regarding potential changes to the electoral law, the poll shows that 45% prefer a mixed system combining cross-voting and party lists, 44% favor a system with a preference vote (cross), and only 11% support a pure list system.
