The Hellenic Historic Vehicle Club (E.L.I.A.), with the support of SMA Triskelion, co-organize together with the Municipality of Kythera, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the ultimate summer getaway: the Kythera Classic Tour, from May 29 to June 1 on the magical island of Kythera!
With a 135 km route through the most iconic spots of the island, the 60 crews and participants will enjoy a full and rewarding four-day experience. The combination of summer weather and the unique island landscape will provide the ideal conditions for everyone to drive safely and enjoy their vehicles on the special routes that Kythera offers.
Administrative and technical checks are scheduled for Friday, May 29 in Chora. Afterwards, the start of Leg 1 will take place at 20:31, featuring a short night drive to Mylopotamos. There, under the cool shade of the plane trees, we will enjoy our first dinner with local flavors.
The first vehicle will start Leg 2 on Saturday, May 30 at 11:01. After covering the first kilometers through traditional villages, participants will make their first regrouping stop at the Monastery of Myrtidiotissa at 11:31. Restart at 12:31, with the next stop in mountainous Karavas. There, we will have the opportunity to visit a traditional bakery and learn the secrets of its operation. The final section, starting at 16:00, heads toward Platia Ammos and finishes in Potamos at 17:01, where a treat awaits us from the local community and the Cultural Association of Potamos Kythera!
On Sunday, we will head toward the eastern side of the island. Start at 11:01 and route through Kalamos, Fratsia, Paleopoli, finishing in the idyllic Avlemonas, with the opportunity for a swim in one of the most iconic landscapes of Kythera. In the evening, a commemorative award ceremony for all crews will take place in Kapsali, overlooking the Aegean sunset across the endless blue.
