At the final goodbye to Gogo Mastrokosta, Traianos Dellas’ eulogy was deeply moving, as he referred to his wife as “my angel” and “a fighter.”
Beginning his speech at the Holy Church of the Holy Trinity in Elliniko, where the funeral service was held, the coach said, visibly emotional about his wife’s battle with cancer:
“My angel, my love—that’s how you called me, that’s how you addressed me everywhere. You said I was your guardian angel. On my 50th birthday, when I was alone in the hospital room while they took you to intensive care, everything suddenly unraveled in my mind. It was you who were the angel, not me; you came into my life to teach me things. How small I was compared to you, with your persistence and everything you had gone through. Your beauty and radiance can only refer to an angel. This is yet another proof that you were the angel and not me. You blinded me all these years so I could not truly understand you.”

Highly emotional words were also spoken by Gogo Mastrokosta’s daughter, Viktoria, who said about her mother:
“My mom lived her life with a smile and pride. She loved deeply, gave strength to each of us individually, and fought with a smile, not fear. You taught me to love, to respect, to think of others. Together with my dad, you showed what it means to have values. Now I know you will always be with me,” she said, unable to hold back her emotion.
Closing her eulogy, Viktoria Dellas dedicated a deeply emotional verse to her mother:
“If angels exist, mine is you. And if love exists, you are the only one. I love you, mom. I won’t say goodbye, because you will always be within me.”

Afterwards, Traianos Dellas and his daughter left the church together, while a few minutes later the coffin of Gogo Mastrokosta emerged from the church, with the crowd present applauding their final farewell.

Earlier, Traianos Dellas arrived at the Holy Church of the Holy Trinity in Elliniko devastated, holding hands with his daughter Viktoria, while Mastrokosta’s mother, Spyridoula, was also visibly overwhelmed with emotion.

Relatives and friends said their final goodbye to the former gymnast and model, who passed away from cancer at the age of 56. The coach arrived in the church courtyard walking hand in hand with his 17-year-old daughter. The mother of the deceased could not hide her intense grief, shouting as the coffin arrived at the church: “Welcome, my flower, star of heaven. My angel.”

Among the first to arrive at the church was Gogo Mastrokosta’s close friend, Charis Siadinis. Later, her sister Fofi also arrived and broke down in tears.
