A shocking story arises from India, as a young boy was raped by his own mother, who tried to “cure” him of his homosexual tendencies.

An Indian LGBT organization warns that parents many times approve of the rape of their children by family members in order to “turn them heterosexual”. Same-sex sexual acts is an offense punishable by 10 years in prison in India, so families choose this other… heinous act. Many times they even choose which family member will have the “honor” of raping their child.

The Daily Mirror states that the case of the rape caused many reactions and shocked the public.  Deepthi Tadanki, a famous Indian producer, decided to base his next movie on this particular incident to raise awareness.
