Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly considering splashing out 4.7 million dollars to buy the Greek isle of Gaia so as to enjoy more private holidays, together with their six children, aged from six to 13.
“Angie fell in love with it!” says a source close to the Brangelina couple. “It will need development, but at that price they’ll have no problem building the vacation home of their dreams.” After all, news reports state that the couple recently put their New Orleans home on the market for 6.5 million dollars.
This is not the first time that the couple have been linked to island hunting. The island getaway dream has been on the table for the last two years with Angelina viewing the heart-shaped isle of Petra, situated off the US coast.
This time, the couple is looking at the 17.4-hectare island of Gaia, touted as the perfect millionaires’ playground, with zoning permission for six holiday villas. An idyllic paradise surrounded by the calm crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, the isle is ideal for the Brangelina kids. The couple would be (mostly) free to enjoy family vacations far from the paparazzi.
