In his regular Sunday review, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis refers to restoration works on cultural heritage monuments, the new price comparison platform PosoKanei, housing initiatives, public service evaluation, wildfire prevention, and international developments in the Middle East.
He makes a special reference to the new PosoKanei platform, stressing that it “is here to stay,” while arguing that greater transparency in the market and better consumer information can help address inflation.
At the same time, he presents the new “Home Renovation” program, which provides subsidies of up to €36,000 for the renovation of empty or old properties, aiming to increase housing supply and address the housing crisis.
He also highlights the need to clean plots of land ahead of the peak wildfire season and refers to international developments in the Middle East following the US–Iran framework agreement, which he describes as an important step toward de-escalation in the region.
