The Supreme Judicial Council of the Greek Supreme Court unanimously appointed new delegated European prosecutors who will reinforce the Greek unit of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The newly appointed Greek delegated European prosecutors include Appeals Prosecutor Dimitris Zimianitis, with his alternate colleague Olympia Kleitsaki.
From the rank of first-instance prosecutors, Dimitris Nomikos and Dimitris Apostolas were appointed, with their alternates being their colleagues Domenikos-Theologos Deliveis and Maria Rigopoulou.
The Supreme Court proceeded with the selection of new European prosecutors following a relevant request by the Minister of Justice Giorgos Floridis, who responded to a call from the head of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, Laura Kövesi, to strengthen the Greek EPPO unit during her first visit to Athens last October.
