“Further decline in petrol prices at the pump is expected,” stressed Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his remarks at the cabinet meeting currently underway.

“There will be monitoring by the ministry and the relevant independent authority, as well as coordination with market participants for a price freeze over the next two months,” he noted.

The items on the cabinet meeting agenda are:

• Presentation by Minister of Interior Thodoris Livanios and Deputy Minister Vivi Charalampogianni of the draft law on the reorganisation and modernisation of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government
• Presentation by Minister of Labour and Social Security Niki Kerameos and Deputy Minister Anna Efthymiou of the draft law on strengthening occupational insurance, improving the regulatory framework and creating incentives to attract participation in the second pillar of the insurance system
