Passenger traffic at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” continued to rise in the first half of 2026, reaching nearly 15.75 million travellers, up 4.5% compared with the same period in 2025.

Traffic also increased in June, despite the unstable geopolitical environment. A total of 3.51 million passengers passed through the airport during the month, marking a 1.7% rise compared with June 2025.

According to preliminary figures from Athens International Airport, domestic passenger traffic in June was up 2.3%, while international traffic rose by 1.5%.

For the first six months of 2026 overall, both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded last year’s levels, increasing by 5.1% and 4.2% respectively.
