The Titanic is “arriving” in Athens. The story of the historic ocean liner that became a legend is brought to life through modern technology in Titanic: An Immersive Voyage, an exhibition that has already attracted more than 40 million visitors worldwide and opens on 12 October at the Digital Theater in Goudi.

The exhibition does not approach the Titanic only as a historical event. It follows the ship’s journey from its construction, luxury and grandeur to the hopes and final moments of its passengers: boarding, the splendour of the maiden voyage, daily life on board, the tension of the collision and the silence of the wreck.

Through recreations of ship interiors, 3D projections, video animations, interactive elements and virtual reality technology, visitors experience the excitement of the Titanic setting out on its first voyage, as well as the fear and confusion that followed when the ship began to sink.

Titanic: An Immersive Voyage creates an experience that moves between historical documentation and emotional storytelling. Visitors pass through cabins, halls and decks, while encountering personal stories of passengers, authentic objects recovered from the wreck and handwritten letters that illuminate the human side of the story.

One of the exhibition’s most striking features is its innovative VR tour, which transports visitors to the site where the Titanic’s wreck lies today, more than four kilometres beneath the surface of the North Atlantic.

Visitors are given the rare opportunity to explore the remains of the Titanic as they exist today, silent on the ocean floor. This distinctive experience turns visitors from simple observers into active participants in one of history’s most compelling maritime stories.

Titanic: An Immersive Voyage has already been presented in cities abroad, attracting more than 40 million visitors internationally. It is produced by Exhibition Hub, a global producer and distributor of major immersive exhibitions, in co-production with Placebo Events, the Greek company that has brought major international productions to Athens in recent years.
