A Hellenic Train service operating route 1634 (Thessaloniki–Serres) came to a halt at 16:29 at Mouries Station due to a technical fault, according to a company announcement. The train was carrying 61 passengers.
To accommodate passengers, route 1634 will be replaced by Hellenic Train buses on the Mouries–Serres section. The replacement service will not stop at the Strymonas and Skotousa stations.
Meanwhile, route 1635 (Serres–Thessaloniki) will be operated entirely by Hellenic Train buses, with no stops at the following stations:
- Skotousa
- Strymonas
- Doirani
- Cherso
- Metallikos
- Pedino
- Gallikos
- Nea Filadelfeia
“Hellenic Train is investigating the cause of the technical fault and thanks passengers for their understanding,” the company said in its statement.
