More than 300 sculptures in public areas of Athens are listed on the website athenssculptures.com, launched by the civic group Atenistas. The aim of the initiative is to map all sculptures, and to give citizens and visitors of the capital an online manual with information about the meaning behind each sculpture and its history.
Until today and within the last six months have been recorded and been “posted” to the website 324 sculptures in the municipality of Athens, with information of their exact location, a picture , id of the sculptor , the year of manufacture, as well as information for the person or reflect issue addressed.
