In the film Downey has the lead role of Hank Palmer, a big city lawyer who returns to his childhood home after his mother’s death. As Hank tries to reconnect with his estranged father, played by Robert Duvall, the town’s judge, things get more complicated when he receives a call from the sheriff saying that his father is accused of murder.

Robert Downey is also the producer of the film, since his wife and him have established their own company “Team Downy”.

“Susan and I are thrilled with this film since this is the first project signed by the Team Downey and Warner Bros” Robert Downey said adding that “This is the best role in my life”.

The director of the film is David Dobkin and the scriptwriter is Nick Schenk.
