AirBaltic to launch Riga-Thessaloniki route in summer

AirBaltic will fly from Riga to Thessaloniki twice a week on Fridays and Sundays

AirBaltic will launch a new flight connecting Riga, the capital city of Latvia with Thessaloniki in northern Greece, according to baltic-course.com website.

The new service will offer travelers from the Baltic states direct access to the highly popular holiday region of Halkidiki, east of Thessaloniki, as well as a handful of resort towns to the southwest, in the shade of Mt. Olympus.

Christophe Viatte, chief commercial officer of airBaltic stated: “Thessaloniki is renowned for its vibrant cultural life, its ancient history which is visible on the facades of its impressive churches, monuments and buildings, while also being on the shores of the Aegean Sea. It is an ideal holiday destination for culture lovers and sunshine seekers alike. We are delighted to be adding this destination to our route map, broadening summer holiday options for travelers from the Baltic region, and strengthening direct links between northern and southern Europe.”

AirBaltic will fly from Riga to Thessaloniki twice a week on Fridays and Sundays while the price of a one-way ticket will start at EUR 85.
