Even though Athens seemed less-than-willing to pay the IMF if a positive Eurogroup message was not sent today, the Greek government ordered the payment of the IMF tranche during said Eurogroup meeting.

Yanis Varoufakis had already presented said occasion, speaking to Brussels-based journalists that Greece will respect its obligations to its lenders and will normally pay the tranche.

What remains to be seen is if this move by the Greek government is not meant to hurry along the negotiations, rather satisfying said undertaken obligations as a good will sign towards European and other financial partners.
