The excavation team at Amphipolis is waiting for the culture ministry to decide on the continuation of excavation works at the Kasta Hill, ie Amphipolis, said lead archaeologist Katerina Peristeri.
She added that she decided against participating at this year’s 28th scientific meeting on archaeological work in Macedonia and Thrace, which took place on Friday and Saturday, because a systematic study of all the excavation findings to date is still pending. “We will participate in the next conference with full scientific conclusions,” she said.
Peristeri added that all archaeological findings of the Kasta Hill are in perfect condition and under the constant supervision of the excavation team.
