An anarchist group “Antistate Makhnovists” assumed responsibility for the attack against the Turkish Consulate in Thessaloniki on Sunday, December 20, by releasing an announcement on their website on Thursday. They said they were responsible for the 40 firebombs and stones hurled at the consulate by 60 individuals.

The group says that the attack was its response against the Turkish police state. They clarified that the attack bore no relation with another attack on the same Consulate a few days earlier.
