Equity prices were rising on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 1.01 percent, standing at 1,230.32 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 16.355 million euros.

Individual sector indices were moving upwards, with the biggest gains in Travel and Recreation, up 2.59 percent; Constructions, up 2.25 percent and in Commerce, up 2.23 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 1.04 percent, and the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.41 percent.

The only losses were in Real Estate, down 0.94 percent and in Food and Beverages, 0.48 percent.
Of the stocks traded, 41 were up, 10 were down and 8 were unchanged.
