C. Xiros' alleged accomplice receives extension to testify on Tuesday

Another member of terrorist Christodoulos Xiros team was arrested

The 23-year-old man who was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of being an accomplice to Marxist militant convicted terrorist Christodoulos Xiros, requested from the investigating magistrate and received an extension to testify on Tuesday.

The suspect, aged 23 years, is of Armenian origin. He was arrested at Ano Glyfada, a coastal suburb in  south Athens, after an arrest warrant was issued for his participation in a terrorist group and theft.

He is believed to have been recruited by Xiros to drive the escape car from a planned escape from Greece’s Korydallos prison where members of the anarchist Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire group are serving time in prison. The 23-year-olds fingerprints were found in a van abandoned in the region of Aigaleo, west of Athens. The stolen van had been found following Xiros’ arrests.
