The U.S. Embassy in Athens on Vas Sofias Street received a suspicious package a short while ago. The area was immediately evacuated. The Anti-Terrorist Squad arrived at the spot and is currently investigating the package.

Following an investigation, it was found that the parcel did not contain anthrax as had been suspected.
