British man found dead in Zakynthos

The 20-year-old was taken to Patras for an autopsy

A party held in a bar in the Laganas area of ​​Zakynthos had a tragic end with a 20-year-old British man being found dead at around 10 pm yesterday, Sunday.

According to Greek public broadcaster ERT, a staff member of the bar found the young British man “pale” as she told the police during one of the parties that start at 6 pm and end around 11 pm every day.

According to the same information, at some point, the worker lost sight of the 20-year-old Briton while the store manager – who is also a lifeguard – was pulling the young tourist out of the pool and starting CPR.

A private ambulance arrived at the bar and took the 20-year-old British man to the hospital, where, however, he was pronounced dead.

The body of the British tourist was taken to Patras for an autopsy, with the managers of the bar in Laganas saying that it was not a case of drowning and that safety measures are being followed in the business.
