Centrist leader S. Theodorakis invites Greeks for a moment of silence outside French Embassy

We are all French!

As a gesture of solidarity and goodwill, centrist To Potami leader Stavros Theodorakis invited Greeks in Athens to head to the French Embassy at 10 p.m. on Saturday night as a sign of goodwill and solidarity. Greeks moved by the images of bloodshed will in this way be able to pay their respects following the attacks at multiple venues in Paris where more than 150 people lost their lives after eight ISIS militants open fired at civilians in suicide bombing attacks.

On Facebook he wrote:

“We are all French! Are we all French?

I invite you tonight at 10 p.m. Greek time – the time when the first attack in Paris was noted – so that we can gather outside the French Embassy at 7 Vas. Sofias Street, Athens.

Without noise, without slogans, carrying the colors of France!

We are all targets because we live differently, think differently, dress differently and have chosen to live in societies without a fatwa. These are the choices we must defend. Europe may need new impetus but it does not accept ultimatums. And, in contrast to its enemies, it will not be swayed in a witch hunt but create targeted actions to isolate its enemies and tear down terrorists.”
