Chania and its “must see” places

The city’s rich history, the traditional small villages and its sandy beaches make Chania a very attractive destination

When you’re in chania except its spectacular sandy beaches with crystal clear waters there are some places worth visiting. For example the trademark of the city, which is no other but the Venetian Harbor with its lighthouse.

The Archaeological Museum of Chania is housed in the Venetian church of St Francis, in the city’s center. Next stop for the friends of art should be the Municipal Art Gallery also in the center of the city which promotes the Cretan and Greek culture.

And last but not least the Market in the center of the Old Town. Is one of the most impressive covered markets with 76 shops.
