Coronavirus Greece – 16,115 new cases, 9 deaths, 95 intubated

Among intubated patients, 41 (43.16%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 54 (56.84%) are fully vaccinated

Greek authorities announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus that were recorded in the last 24 hours were 16,115. The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,661,004 (daily change + 0.4%), of which 48.6% are men.

The number of possible new infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 3,023 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 168,440 (4.4% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 9, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 30,218 deaths have been recorded. 95.7% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 95 (57.9% men). Their median age is 70 years. 91.6% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 41 (43.16%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 54 (56.84%) are fully vaccinated.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,727 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
