Coronavirus Greece: 5,080 new cases, 12 deaths, 130 intubated

Over half of the intubated patients are fully vaccinated

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Greece recorded in the last 24 hours stand at 5,080. The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,453,229 (daily change + 0.2%), of which 48.8% are men.

The number of possible new re-infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 570 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 135,884 (3.8% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 12, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 29,845 deaths have been recorded. 95.6% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and over

The number of patients treated by intubation is 130 (61.5% men). Their median age is 72 years. 93.1% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 63 (48.46%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 67 (51.54%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,683 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
