Coronavirus Greece: Emergency meeting about the coronavirus in China

What measures are being discussed after the outbreak of the coronavirus in China – From this week there will be two direct arrivals of Air China

An emergency meeting is currently being held at the Maximus Hall to review all data related to China and the coronavirus.

Health Minister Thanos Pleuris, deputy minister Mina Gaga and EODY president Theoklis Zaoutis are participating in the meeting led by the Prime Minister.

Until now in Greece we have had no direct flights from China, but by the next week there will be two direct arrivals of Air China.

According to reports, the baseline is to require a mandatory test on departure from China, whether for those traveling directly or those traveling with a stopover.

Our country is not considering implementing random checks on arrivals, which has many technical difficulties, (there are no more quarantine hotels, no monitoring system, etc.) while in Italy, where the measure is applied, it proves to be impractical.

What is being considered is the examination of the sewage from the planes coming from China, but the analysis of the sewage takes days.

It is still expected that there will be a recommendation for the use of masks in airports by passengers and workers, but not mandatory.
