Die Presse: Samaras argues that Greece will not need new aid package

Austrian media refer extensively to the statements of Greek Prime Minister

Many Austrian newspapers highlight the statements of Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on no further financial aid.

Specifically, Di Presse newspaper published an article entitled “Greece will not need another aid package at the end of the program, said Prime Minister Antonis Samaras,”.

The article mentions that Mr. Samaras said that Greece will not need any new financial assistance after the end of the program adding that reform efforts raised the competitiveness of Greek economy.

As the newspaper notes, Greece depends on the support provided by EU and IMF reaching 240 billion euros, whereas the EU financial aid expires the upcoming December and IMF’s aid in the first quarter of 2016.

Mr. Samaras said that the country’s debt would be sustainable again in the future, as the article mentions.
