Double shock at OAEE: 7-year increase to retirement age, cuts to early pensions

Women with children that are minors will no longer be able to retire at the age of 60

The Insurance Organization for the Self-Employed (OAEE) is undergoing a huge overhaul that includes a 2-year increase to the retirement age for those insured for 35 years and an additional seven years for mothers of minors (taxi drivers, women at sea, etc) as well as for parents of children with disabilities. The previous retirement age for mothers with children under the age of 18 years was at 60 years, however the new rules lift this while also applying a 10% penalty for those who seek early retirement.

New rules mean that those who reached the age of 60 years on August 18, 2015, and who had 35 years of labor in 2010, 36 years in 2011 or 37 years in 2012 are not affected, however there will be a steady increase to the retirement age until 2022.
