An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale occurred at 05:23 Saturday morning in Evia with the earthquake being felt in Attica.
The epicentre of the tremor was located 2 kilometres south-southeast of Vasiliki Istiaia and the focal depth was calculated at 18.7 kilometres, according to the revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute.

The Euro-Mesogeological Institute estimated the tremor at 4.6 Richter at 23 kilometres south of Skiathos.
The 4.5 Richter earthquake was followed by seven other aftershocks until 7:30 a.m., with the largest one occurring at 6:36 a.m. and measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale.
