Education Minister Filis says religious studies have to reform

Religious heads not to intervene in school lessons, he says

In an interview to Greek newspaper ‘Kathimerini’, Minster for Education and Religious Studies Nikos Filis said that if religion studies are to remain on the school curriculum as a compulsory lesson then they will have to reform into a lesson of comparative religion and abandon its confessionary nature. On the matter of whether Greek Orthodox bishops are granted entry into schools as visitors, he stressed that any third persons visiting schools is a matter of each individual principle of that school to determine.
