Energy Minister Maniatis on political developments

He stressed that the conditions of extreme polarization are unacceptable.

Energy and Climate Change Minister Yiannis Maniatis, who is currently on a two-day visit at the Epirus region, commented on Wednesday on the recent political developments. More specifically he referred to the clash between SYRIZA and the Government regarding MP bribery allegations.

“There are no corrupted deputies and there is no danger the bank ATMs will stop working,” Mr. Maniatis said.

He also added that the conditions of extreme polarization are unacceptable.

“The national effort is being undermined, the national economy is being undermined and, worst of all, the country’s negotiation ability is being undermined during these crucial times,” he said adding that a serious, responsible and committed approach is required for Greece’s national effort.
